Local buisness ‘Tansy Recycling’ will also be having a table to showcase how they transform waste into functional\, beautiful items! \nOver six weeks\, families complete simple eco-friendly actions at home\, like donating\, reusing\, planting\, and picking up litter. DESCRIPTION:At Keep Akron Beautiful\, we are excited to introduce and launch the Planting Change: 100k Trees for Akron campaign! \nDid you know that Akron’s tree coverage has declined from 40% to 34%? \nIn the last decade\, the tree canopy is projected to decrease to 30% by 2040. This is why the Planting Change campaign has an ambitious goal to plant 100\,000 trees by 2034! This will help to restore the city’s green canopy and maintain a balanced ecosystem. \nJoin us as we kick off this campaign at Hardesty Park for a free community event on April 27th (immediately following Arbor Day)! The event will include food vendors\, craft stations\, art vendors\, and the first 100 attendees will receive a FREE white oak tree seedling! #100KTreesforAkron
