On September 3rd, Keep Akron Beautiful (KAB) CEO, Jacqui Flaherty-Ricchiuti, was honorably recognized by the 30 for the Future program presented by the Greater Akron Chamber.

30 for the Future is a recognition program that is associated with the Young Professionals Network started by the Greater Akron Chamber. 30 for the Future recognizes young professionals ages 25-39 who not only work and/or live in the Akron area, but are also trendsetters within their industries and have a large impact on the area through their service and leadership. An independent committee selected the recipients based on professional and community accomplishments, team building and leadership. The individuals were nominated by members of the Greater Akron Chamber, regional for-profit and nonprofit organizations and their own organizations

Aside from being an extremely hard-working CEO here at KAB, Jacqui is also a member of Junior League of Akron. Junior League of Akron, the local chapter of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI), represents nearly 30 communities and works to raise funds, chair events, create organizations and deliver assistance to people in need within the community. Jacqui is currently one of the chairs for ShowHouse 2016.

Jacqui has also served as a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for the Summit County Juvenile Court System. Jacqui says that this has been her favorite way she has given back to the Greater Akron community so far. She was able to work with multiple children on various cases and is grateful she had the opportunity to ensure the children she worked with would live meaningful lives and be active citizens in their community. Jacqui’s work for CASA  left an impact on the children she was able to work with, and she believes they, too, will make an impact in the Greater Akron community someday.IMG_1777
