Volunteer Opportunities-

 

Volunteer opportunities are available during the summer months to organizations or youth interested in keeping specific public land sites in the city free of litter. KAB provides the necessary supplies such as gloves, trash and recycle bags, and arranges for trash pickup for these environmental watchdogs.

Volunteer leadership for all of the agency's programs comes from the Beautification Board membership. This corps of volunteers made up of men and women meets six times a year for luncheon meetings, speakers and bus tours. They assist with fundraising, Beautification Watch Certificate canvassing and once a year events like Super Saturday, at the Akron Zoological Park and the Arbor Day seedling distribution.
