Clean Up Akron Month Groups & Sites

Goodyear Tire & Rubber

For the second year, a large group from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and their families, came out during the month of April to assist in an area that always needs some additional help--Summit Lake and the Community Center/lakeshore. Chastity Duskey, Keep Akron Beautiful Board of Directors Member spearheaded this group, cleaning one of Akron's badly littered areas. In just a few hours, this dedicated group of employees had over 20 full bags of trash, tires, sporting goods including a football, basketball and baseball, a 5-gallon pail, and empty containers of oil. Thank you Goodyear volunteers for your hard work on cleaning up Summit Lake!

A group of 38 GOJO employees braved the bad weather on April 24, 2013 and picked up over 2,400 pounds of wet trash! Keep Akron Beautiful is so proud of all of the volunteers who assisted in the cleanup and we are so thankful for the support of GOJO year after year!
